Graphics and Style
Upon entering the main home page of fhsu you are met animated backgrounds and scrolling boxes of text. The websites is themed in the colors of the collage.
At this point everything looks fine until you realize how giant the top navigation bar is. Trying to shrink the page size results in only the text shrinking
And not the boxes the text is contained in. The large boxes make the website feel cramped and difficult to navigate.
Although, only the home page seems to suffer from this problem. Other pages do not feel near as cramped.
Navigation and Accessability
The navigation from the homepage to other pages is done well. When hovering over the link to another website the text changes from white to yellow as indication.
The website includes a directory page to find specific department contact information as well as general pages for the website. Despite my praises of the navagation of the site,
I have some issues as well.
- The directory is not well organized and should allow for more advanced filtering
- Some pages in the navagation go to a completely different website and don't link back to the orginal (The Give page that has a equally confusing name)
- Because of the some pages are structured it can take a lot of scrolling to find the relevant information you are looking for
- Because of the color pallet there is no dark mode (have fun getting flashbanged in the middle of the night opening the wrong page)
I really like the website besides those couple of problems. If you want to go check out the site go to
